A product design experiment exploring Arabic calligraphy in the context of everyday ceramic objects. The word حُبّ — Love — is rendered in classical Arabic script and applied to the form of a coffee mug, examining how sacred letterforms translate into intimate domestic use.
The project questions the boundary between fine calligraphy and functional design, and whether the act of holding, drinking from, and living with an object changes one's relationship to the language it carries.
